[3.3] Organic Waste Treatment

Organic Wastes Treatment of Mersin University

Description: 

Solid wastes generated within our university are collected by containers in the campus and collected by waste (garbage) collection vehicles belonging to Mersin Metropolitan Municipality. The collected wastes are separated in the regular storage facilities for recyclable wastes of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, and the remaining organic wastes are stored in the landfill area. Electric energy is obtained by the formation of other methane gas from the stored waste over the years. In addition, medical wastes are disposed of in the facility after the necessary sterilization.
